From the development of hybrid and proprietary materials to our unique custom order program (COP) and prototype fulfillment, we have the programs, resources and expertise necessary to ensure the success of your products.

F. Richard Cramton is the President and Founder of EMCO. In 1969, he decided to create a company that would develop products and services to fill an underserved segment of the monofilament market. Before starting EMCO, Cramton was the Director of New Products for EB & AC Whiting Company, where he was awarded multiple patents for new products and processes. While at Union Carbide, he served as a Process Development Engineer and brought the process of manufacturing impact polystyrene into production.

Michel Allen, Vice President of EMCO, worked for IBM in the Manufacturing Engineering and Development Department. He also worked with EMCO founder Richard Cramton at EB & AC Whiting Company in the Research and Development Department. His expertise is in the fields of new product development and new product equipment construction.

At EMCO, we know that the right monofilament can be crucial to the success of your product. Whether you're developing a new product or modifying an existing one, our COP has been designed to provide you with a competitive edge.

Our COP is just that-—custom. We'll develop just the right combination of materials, properties and fulfillment of your product's performance demands. The special services our COP cover include (but are not limited to):

Low Minimums
Whether you're doing a short run or testing a new product, we know you don't always need 2,500 pounds of monofilament.

At EMCO, our minimum order starts at just 200 pounds. You name the increments from there—up to 20,000 pounds and beyond.

Prototype Fulfillment & Samples
From straight stock samples to short test runs of a prototype monofilament, at EMCO we're happy to provide pre-production samples to ensure you've got the right product.

On-Time Delivery
You need it-—and you need it fast! With EMCO's order on demand capabilities, we can get you the monofilament you need, with time to spare. And if you order through our COP, we will work with you to ensure on-time delivery.
